When politics are purchased, it doesn’t matter who you vote for. Push for political change, that’s only happened every election for a few hundred years now…

We change the faces on those suits every few years in most cases, yet the people paying for them to be there never change. Yet people like you keep decrying that we should be protesting institutions that have been protested for centuries. If protesting politics changed anything, we’d have had change by now. It always requires taking to the streets to get real change. Wake up and meet reality, she’s a bitch but she’s the only one who’s honest with you.

No I’m not missing the points. I never claimed one party or another. Bush ticked me off as does Obama. And there is only a small handful of senators and representatives that are worth more than a nickel. Ironically, however, you helped prove my point that protesting issues should be at the political level rather than the corporate level. ]]>

This organization is a complete waste of time and effort. Technically, I fall into what you call the 99%. But let me tell you … you DON’T represent me or my ideals. Nor do you represent the ideals of 99% of the people I know. How many of you can even state what you’re doing, why you’re doing it and what you hope to accomplish. I mean, something other than “we’re here to raise awareness”. Awareness of what? That corporations are in business to make money? That the majority of people in the various “Occupy” groups are freeloaders more interested in what they can take from those who have worked hard for what they have? People … if you have a computer, cell phone or smart phone, tablet, wear cloths, eat food, drive a vehicle, go to the movies, go shopping, or in some other way are not completely self-sufficient and living off the land, you are in fact part of the corporations that you’re protesting. How hypocritical and small minded!! It’s the corporations that you’re protesting that are actually keeping this country afloat. Think about it … where would this country be if all the big corporations disappeared? Do you think we have money problems now? Imagine a no one being able to work for a company large enough to offer benefits. Imagine life without your Super WalMarts. Imagine having to get a gallon of milk from a farmer or an expensive mom and pop store. Imagine having to pay cash for that new car or house!! Imagine the lost community programs that are currently being funded by corporations. Oh yes … you didn’t think all those things came the this supposed 99% did you? Some of those parks your kids play in were funded and built by companies like the one I work for. They didn’t magically appear from your neighbors or the government. If you want to protest something … go protest this president. (Time is way past over for blaming Bush.) Go protest congress. I mean really, it’s not corporations that take months to avoid a national shut down only to come up with a temporary solution and then be so exhausted that they have to take a 3 month vacation. Get your priorities straight and get your facts correct! ]]>

You ought to think carefully about some of those items.

If you drive stakes (Other than those thin wire ones) into the grass you will provide an excuse for the downtown types who are the park’s protectors to bring legal action, if the city doesn’t, to order you out of the park.

There are ways to support tents without using stakes.

With all due respect this request smacks very much of events of a couple of nights past. When it was announced that the City has backed off from ordering us out of the park there was also a quid pro quo. There had been an agreement that the noise level would be kept down after 9:30 P.M. I was dismayed, shortly after the GM, about 10 P.M., to see and hear a crowd of what must have been a hundred or so marching around chanting loudly and banging on big marching drums.

You can be sure the downtown business association loves nothing better and had police in a car following you all around, perhaps with recording
and audiometer equipment in the car.
