I have to say, as much as I support the Occupy movement, ATL has a ways to go. Holding fundraisers where the majority of musicians/spoken word artists are spouting "motherfucker" does not really help the cause. There is socially conscious hip-hop and spoken word that does NOT feel the need to resort to profanity. I myself have little problem with profanity used in certain contexts. But come on - this movement is supposed to attract people from all walks of life, including families and children. Furthermore, Occupy ATL seems pretty poorly organized. Again, I do support the movement, but you might take a cue from OWS...go up and visit and see what you can learn. Plane tix are not that expensive and The Chelsea Savoy is an inexpensive hotel just a few miles from OWS.So were there any arrests last night?
