Copper found a home with Occupy Atlanta, and Occupy Atlanta found in him a tireless advocate and hard-working contributor to the community.
Being part of Occupy Atlanta sometimes means becoming a target of the authorities, warranted or not. Copper intervened when a park ambassador attempted to remove signs which had previously been left alone, and he was arrested.
Copper has spoken about his past life and its troubles. Because of his past, and because he is still considered “homeless,” his bond is significantly higher than it would otherwise be. We have made the decision to use our funds to secure his release because we believe that he deserves a chance to continue to turn his life around. Please donate to the Occupy Atlanta Legal Fund.
He’s one of the cornerstones of our movement locally. And symbolically global. At the root of it, he’s a big part of what we’re all about. When and where is his court date?
His next court date is Dec 27th at 9am at the Fulton Court House, but that might still be subject to change.
Is he locked up until then? What is the address where he is located? Is that Fulton County Courthouse or Fulton Street Courthouse? What’s that address?
Found it. He’s at the Rice Street, Fulton County facility. The address is 901 Rice Street Northwest Atlanta, Georgia 30318
