    Hi Web Occupiers,

    Some friendly observations about the Occupy ATL site. Overall it kicks ass btw. Just some suggested tweaks…

    A. HOME menu navi should be normally on left? Because most people are used to looking for it there.

    B. There is no Facebook Like button. I do see the Share buttons at the bottom of posts which is where they are best suited to be. But sharing does not turn that person into a Liker. We want more likers/fans so that they keep getting updates on Occupy. Then again, you may already have know this and decided not to for your own reasons? :)

    C. Is there anywhere on this site, a guide to How To Do a Livestream? From both phone and laptop? I think this would be a helpful thing to have!

    D. Is there automatic synchronization between announcements made on Facebook page and the website and viceversa? For example, today’s GSU event was a wall post on FB placed sometime at night. I did not see it posted on the website yesterday. I know it shows today but I think it was placed on the site today. Somehow improving this synchronization may help with better attendance. Though the GSU event was a success, we should have had a lot more Occupiers. I barely found out about it like I said through the FB wall post. Attendance to our events is key.

    thanks @reflex That’s a great idea about the Livestream… Maybe I can get our Livestream guru to write some out for us!

    As far as the Home button… We’ll do a poll to see which side the majority of people want it on… the right or left side. It was positioned there to the right to highlight Events, How To Help, About, etc.

    As far the the GSU Event specifically… Get with Action and see what’s up there… not sure :/ I bet what you are seeing is right now it’s set to show Today’s Events on the Main page. Then, we have them all listed on the Events Page and also on the top “Headline Events” box on the Main Page. I’m guessing it was there yesterday while yesterdays event was on the Main page really big.

    Everyone should post more often here really, this is Our Website and everyone’s updates go straight to the main page as well as the side bar. I would really love to see more photos and videos of the Events here.

    we’re going to discuss it in our meeting, but i’m personally leaning toward adding a website poll for this kind of stuff. ;P so the users decide.

    I’m going to vote Center the entire Navigation on the black bar, the move the home to the left followed by Events, How To Help, etc. It will take a bit of working becuase of ipad/iphone browsers, but I’ll figure out how to do it.

    How do you get a meet-up listed on the events page? My group is the Extremely Peaceful People’s Party and I would like to know how I can get our meet-ups posted so others know they are going on. Thanks
