Hi Shana, consider creating a front page post on the OA website with this info below….?
    —-
    Share, Like, Comment —
Occupiers, when our social media team posts on the Occupy Atlanta Facebook fan page, it does NOT automatically mean all our likers/fans will see our post in their newsfeed. In fact, rule of thumb is that only 50% may see it. In order to get more visibility of the Occupy Atlanta page events and wall posts, we all need to make a collective effort to always: share the events/posts with our friends, like the event/post, and comment on the event/post. The Facebook ranking algorithm that determines the visibility of our newsfeeds on fans newsfeeds, will give preference to events/posts with the most interaction comments, shares, likes, and having photos and videos.
So each and everyone of us should always try to help out by liking, commenting, and sharing on posts/events on the Occupy Atlanta fan page.

While that could be great info to share with everyone, This group isn’t the place for this discussion really. As far as I know there is a group of people that handle the Facebook Page, and I think they are from all Committees. not sure tho. I suppose there should be an official working group to handle that… If I were you I would post this in the Media Group.

To clarify, the Website Team does not post articles for other committees. We build the Website, fix errors, and add modifications to the functionality of the site.

I don’t post anything to the Main Page unless it’s posted for another group. For instance, i posted the Peachtree and Pine post the other day because it was discussed with the Logistics Committee to do so and I was simply helping out.
