Why have one permanent location? It makes the occupation vulnerable. What if, every day, people pack up camp and take it somewhere else? Not far, just a short walk down the street to a new park or lot. Tents aren’t hard to take down and set up. And if anything can’t be packed up and moved easily, it probably doesn’t need to be there in the first place. The next location could be decided every day at the GA.

This way, we avoid the problems of pissing off neighbors and damaging/obstructing parks with permanent occupation (the main reasons Mayor Reed called the cops) while still being out there occupying, civil disobedience and all. Plus, everyone gets to march every day and the media has a new reason to stay interested (“where’s OA today?”). Not to mention, how can the Mayor mobilize the police when he doesn’t even know where the occupation is?

It’s called Occupy Atlanta, not Occupy Troy Davis Park. Let’s make the name true.

I agree. This makes a lot of sense to me. Hell, add occupying multiple locations concurrently and this is nearly impossible to effectively stop.
