The Occupy Atlanta Demands Committing Meeting of Wednesday February 29 came to consensus to bring to OA General Assembly the following statement as our current ‘primary demand’:
“Remove corporate influence from politics and government.”

It is a concise statement that the demands committee believes encompasses a common point of view shared by all of Occupy Atlanta. This demand will not be our only demand, but we believe that it should be our primary demand because it is an issue that directly and indirectly affects all others. We feel that it is time-sensitive due to Senate Bill 469 which was manufactured by and for corporate interests and directly threatens the Occupy movement in the state of Georgia.
