As discussed at the Saturday, May 5th General Assembly. This will be voted on at the Weds, May 9th GA.
Last Wednesday, Sirajah Raheem and William Stamp received a grant for $5,000 from Movement Resource Group.

The project they submitted is called the Red Door Campaign. They’re going to solicit families facing eviction and paint their doors red. The goal is to physically show the negative effects these foreclosures have on neighborhoods.

There’s also money budgeted for an ad campaign on MARTA, along with materials for guerilla marketing. They’re hope is that the campaign spreads within Atlanta and its suburbs and even to other cities.

They have the money and they are going to do this. Anyone who is interested in helping complete this campaign is invited. The first meeting will be held Friday at 6:00pm at Peachtree and Pine. They will go over the details of the project at that time.

The proposal is that we would like Occupy Atlanta to endorse the campaign as an official action.

I really like the Red Door action. However…
My concern is the funding source, which is due to the lack of transparency of MRG.
Months later, after promising transparency when they introduced their group to OWS, they still not posted their donors list.
