Unlike most other states, Georgia does not legally limit gifts from lobbyists to state legislators. This results in elected officials receiving tens of thousands of dollars in “gifts” from corporate interests.. Occupy Atlanta will endorse the proposed $100 limit on gifts from lobbyists. We believe this limit isn’t enough but it is a good start.
