Here’s an idea: daily marches on banks. Not just on the headquarters, as that begins to become predictable, but on branches too. Every day at a specific time, folks should meet at a different location (shared through Twitter, here, and occupyatlanta.org) and march to the bank. The bank should be surrounded. This is a good idea, except for the fact that at the moment we are struggling with trying to get people out to events. We simply don’t have the numbers to be able to realistically do this right now. I think a large part of why we’re struggling is we’re not seen to be doing things, and when we are, most people can’t join in. Marching during the day might make for ”great” news, but it’s not getting the message out and it doesn’t involve the most people. I really think marches after work, say 5:30 would attract larger crowds.
There have been marches after work, but there have also been some earlier in the day for a variety of reasons, especially wanting to catch certain businesses during open hours.
