OWS – Sustainability Group:
“We recognize that the economy – indeed, human civilization – is dependent on and must
support the living systems, biodiversity, and cultural diversity of the planet. The
current economic model is fundamentally unsustainable due to its disconnection
from/disrespect for nature, its destruction of community and its worship of profit above
all else. We respectfully articulate attainable, meaningful goals for our country and
our world, balancing personal fulfillment, environmental well-being and social and
economic justice.”
