Not sure where to go? Having problems coordinating different committees? Want to make sure that we are all working together on the same page? So do we! Coordinating directs complaints and proposals, checks on committee minutes, works to make bulletins of committee information, and make sure information is distributed to the people. There’s a lot to do, and we’re only for the serious!

COORDINATING COMMITEE MINUTES 11/14/2011
Rober, Lillie, Nadine attending. Ron called in.
Lillie has a new email: Lilianaoccupyatl@yahoo.com
We need a new meeting time to make sure we don’t conflict with other committees. After discussion, 4:30 Monday and Thursday was agreed on as a good time.
There was a question about other committees that we’re not sure if they passed GA, or if their status as a committee is necessary to Occupy Atlanta.
Anti-Racism is one. After consulting with Ron, he agreed to be their liaison.
Music was another. There’s confusion as the territory Music has was already established and being worked on by Arts & Lit.
We are working on figuring out how to resolve the Arts & Lit/Music groups. Perhaps they will merge?
Feminist Caucus will be taken by Lillie.
Radical Caucus will be taken by Robert.
We have agreed that we need to contact our committtes as liaisons and make sure they re-establish their Bottom-Liners and an alternate and that they send this in meeting minutes to us. We have had multiple false claims of BLs and we cannot have this happen.
We also need to make sure that people we text to confirm things such as our Bottom-Liner meeting respond to us. There’s no excuse to not respond.
Walton has been confirmed we can use it for our Bottom Liner meet up.
Nadine has addressed Siri’s concern about back room meetings.
Nadine suggests if there are concerns that topics discussed are inappropriate, we check and see how people feel about that during the meeting.
Lillie notes that we do not do proposals in these meetings; they are for information sharing, announcements, and report backs.
Also, what is talked about is recorded and we relate information at the next GA.
Siri has also been invited to attend Coordinating meetings.
Nadine suggests setting up some guidelines and agenda for the upcoming BottomLiner meeting this week to be sent out the Bottom Liners so they know the format a bit better.
Robert will work on this and try to have something for review and edit by our Thursday meeting.
By next meeting, Coordinating members should try to figure out some future goals for Coordinating to have done.
