Not sure where to go? Having problems coordinating different committees? Want to make sure that we are all working together on the same page? So do we! Coordinating directs complaints and proposals, checks on committee minutes, works to make bulletins of committee information, and make sure information is distributed to the people. There’s a lot to do, and we’re only for the serious!
COORDINATING MINUTES 11/18/11
COORDINATING MINUTES 11/18/11 (delayed one day due to protest)
Robert and Nadine in attendance — Ron and Lillie phone in.
C7 is no longer able to house our kitchen. We only have 2 days to figure out where to move it to. Do we have any options?
Nadine: I finially got in touch with Will on Food. He says we have a kitchen elsewhere til Wednesday.
Robert: What else will C7 be working on in stead of Food?
Nadine: Moving to Outreach.
Robert: What do we do about a long term kitchen though? Peachtree and Pine doesn’t have water, among other problems.
The West End Church space seems to be prepetually up in the air. Do we know what the status is yet?
Ron: It’s been delayed another week because of the Church’s Anniversary.
Robert: I have a concern because of the delaysm, as well as the fact the space may need to be used by the church, so we’ll have to leave and then we’ll be in the same position?
Nadine: Perhaps look into renting a warehouse space?
On topic of warehouse sapce: last heard from Logistics that there was a large sapce for $1400 a month.
Nadine: Can we afford that?
Robert: We’ve made at least 7 grand in two months, and perahps we could get OWS to subsidize it? We should bring it up at the Sunday meeting to see if other committees would be interested.
Will Lillie be leaving? Is she alright?
Nadine: I think she just needs a break. She’ll be available for the meeting Sunday.
Has Demands confirmed their Bottom Liner(s)?
Robert: Spoke with Jonathan multiple times this week about it, but I haven’t gotten any minutes yet. I still haven’t heard about regular meeting times, either.
Robert: So for this weekend, is it OK if I attend the School of the Americas protest? Are there pressing concerns I need to be around for?
Nadine: I think you should go. Things’ll be fine.
Robert: OK. I should be back early Sunday afternoon.
Are we still contacting the same people? Do we need to contact Lillie’s committees for the meeting as well?
Nadine: Lillie said she’d contact her committees.
We have concerns that things affecting the whole group haven’t been brought to GA. We should make sure committees report back pertinent information to the GA.
Nadine: When should they report back? Should they just give updates to Coordinating and we do the reports?
Robert: Not sure about that. I suppose as a last resort, but they should try to delegate their own person as much as possible.
